Overview
The Velveeta Room is a comedy club on East 6th Street in downtown Austin. It is known for stand-up comedy nights featuring local comics, touring acts and open mic shows. Groups of friends, couples and visitors walking the 6th Street entertainment district often stop here for a few laughs before or after other plans.

Getting there
The Velveeta Room is about 4 minutes, a fifth of a mile, from Downtown station (CapMetro Rail). Head northeast along the sidewalk toward 521 E 6th St, and you'll reach The Velveeta Room there. The 7th & Red River bus stop is also about 2 minutes away.
